1. Who processes your data
JR BIM is responsible for the personal data collected through jr-bim.com and the plugins you install on your computer. For anything related to this policy, write to us at jaidenrincon.jr.bim@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
We only ask for what we need to provide the service:
- Account: name, email and, if you provide them, company, country and language. Your password is not stored: we keep a cryptographic hash from which the original text cannot be recovered.
- Purchases: orders, invoices and the status of each payment. Your card or bank details never reach our servers — they are handled directly by the payment gateway.
- Licenses: the license key, when you activated it and an identifier of the machine it was activated on. That identifier exists to honour the number of activations you purchased.
- Messages: whatever you send through the contact form, the suggestion box or a support ticket, along with the name and email you send it with.
- Technical logs: the IP address and browser used to sign in, download a file or activate a license. Kept for security and to investigate misuse.
We use no advertising cookies and no analytics or tracking tools. Your session is kept in your browser's local storage and is cleared when you sign out.
3. What we use it for
- Creating your account and letting you into the client portal.
- Processing purchases, issuing invoices and delivering licenses and downloads.
- Validating a license when the plugin connects from Revit.
- Answering your contact messages, suggestions and support tickets.
- Sending operational email: purchase confirmation, license expiry notice and password recovery.
- Keeping the service secure and meeting our legal and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for commercial purposes.
4. Who else processes it
We rely on providers that process data on our behalf, solely to deliver their service to us:
- Wompi (Bancolombia) — processes payments. It receives your payment details directly; we only learn the outcome of the transaction.
- Neon — the database holding your account, orders and licenses.
- Render and Vercel — host the application and its servers.
- Resend — sends operational email.
- Backblaze B2 — stores plugin files and catalogue material.
Some of these providers have servers outside Colombia, so your data may be processed in other countries. We choose providers offering security and confidentiality safeguards equivalent to those required by Colombian law.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as the account is open. Orders and invoices are retained for the period required by accounting and tax rules, even if you close your account. Contact messages and tickets are kept while they remain useful for supporting you and recording what was agreed. Technical logs are kept for a limited period for security reasons.
6. Your rights
Under Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 and its implementing rules, at any time you may:
- Find out what data we hold about you and how we use it.
- Update or correct it if it is wrong or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete it, where no legal or contractual duty requires us to keep it.
- Withdraw the permission you gave us to process it.
- File a complaint with the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce.
To exercise any of these, write to jaidenrincon.jr.bim@gmail.com telling us what you need. We will reply within the time limits set by law.
7. How we protect it
Passwords are stored using a hashing algorithm designed to resist brute-force attacks. Sessions expire and are renewed under control, and changing your password closes any open ones. Access to download files is granted through temporary links tied to an active license. All site traffic is encrypted.
No system is infallible. Should an incident affecting your data occur, we will tell you and report it to the competent authority.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date shown above. When a change is relevant to you, we will let you know by email or with a notice on the site.
